Part 2 • Women’s Led Split Series
Greetings All!
We’re beyond stoked to offer this Women’s Led Splitboard Series. This series wouldn’t be possible without the generous help and support of Burton, WTNN (Burton Women’s, Trans, Non-Binary Network), and Bolton Valley.
A first this year we’ll be taking participants out in the Bolton Valley Backcountry. Below are details on what to expect for the day, what to pack, and what you should bring to have a successful, & fun day on snow!
*** Please note that Signups for the January 28th On-Snow event are now closed. Only those who pre-registered for this event will be able to attend. Participation is limited to keep group to guide numbers manageable, and ensure we have enough rental gear for those that need it! Missed out on this event, no worries! We still have space for the next on snow event on February 11th. Register below if you haven’t already:

Where:
Bolton Valley Ski Resort Nordic Center → Click for directions
We will start the day in the comforts of the Bolton Valley Nordic Center. We’ll go over our gear, hard and soft goods, make sure we’re prepared for the day, and go over our plan for the tour.
When:
Meet at the Bolton Valley Nordic Center @ 9:00am
Event will wrap up by 2:00pm or earlier
Cost:
There is no cost to participate - SpltboardVT, Burton, and WTNN are not profiting off of this series of events. We’re just stoked on splitboarding and helping to get folks out on snow!
Our tour leaders are all volunteering their time and have a wealth of experience and knowledge to share!
Burton, WTNN, & Bolton Valley are covering the cost of an uphill day pass for attendees for those who don’t already have a Bolton Valley Seasons Pass or their NBU Season Pass
Bolton Valley has Rental / Demo Gear for the day
It’s discounted at $65 for the day —> A separate link for participants that need gear will come via e-mail from Burton. Keep a look out in your e-mail and check your SPAM Folders. You should have this no later than Thursday January 25th!
What to wear:
Tops: Baselayer, midweight fleece or light puffy jacket, Shell Jacket, warm hat or sun hat
Bottoms: Baselayer bottoms, shell pants
What to pack:
A backpack: A splitboard / tour / uphill / backcountry specific pack is not needed for this event, but a backpack is required to carry gear, water, food, layers

Googles
Helmet (optional)
Light neck gaiter and/or beanie
Extra Puffy Jacket or warm layer
Warmer Gloves
Lighter gloves
Sunglasses
1-2 liters of water
A few snacks for the day
What to expect for the day:
In case you couldn’t attend Part 1 in store (no worries if you couldn’t), we’ll cover most of that again before everyone starts uphilling; We will discuss the gear, how it all works, and pick up some tips and tricks before you’re outside on snow. Once outside we will coach some foundational movements for skinning and then tour uphill for 1-2 hours.
With around 20 participants we’ll break into smaller groups.
